Why Us?

Okay, so you’re looking for a string quartet, or string ensemble and you’re trying to figure out who can best fit your needs. Well, we’ve got some ideas about why we think we’d be your best bet.

Variety in styles

We are a contemporary string quartet. We’ve performed rock concerts (LA Music Awards), jazz clubs (Ryles Jazz Club), classical recitals (Carnegie Hall), and just random stuff (Border’s books, Prudential Center Mall). We love to try everything! If you have a piece you would like played at your event, please … please ask us!! We can most always do arrangements at no extra cost, so don’t worry! And yes, we will listen to the piece, and practice it so you can actually recognize it!!

Sound

Unlike most groups that perform solely at special events, we perform together as a band outside of weddings/special events. This means that the day before your event we might be wrapping up our 3rd studio album, or showcasing an all-Beethoven concert at Jordan Hall. We are rehearsing constantly, developing our sound, so we can present outstanding concerts, great recordings, and memorable music for your event!

Experience

Performing at over 100 events each year, we are New England’s most requested string ensemble. When something unexpected happens during your event, unfortunate as it may be, it’s probably not going to throw us off. We’ve seen many odd and strange things in the four years we’ve been doing this, so while we havent seen it all, we have a pretty fair idea of how to deal with it.

Consistency

There are four members of the Boston String Quartet. Not thirteen, not forty-eight, but four members. Therefore, when you hire the Boston String Quartet, you are hiring the group whose pictures you saw, and whose music you heard. Not some other group. Now we’d be lying to say that no one ever gets sick, and no one ever goes on vacation. Yes, this happens. But we strive to have the same four members at each and every event that we do, so that we can ensure the highest level of quality for your event.

Reliability

When we plan events, one of our greatest fears is simply whether or not everyone is going to show up, or if they are actually going to follow through with their promise. Planning any special event, we’re sure this is going to be one of your concerns as well. So, let’s talk security. We manage several groups beside our own, we run a music entertainment company, and we host a music school, so we know some of those issues. We’re typically the guys making sure everyone else is on time, so you can rest assured that we will apply the same standards to ourselves.

Customer Service

Strange thing for a string quartet to brag about customer service, but where we can really knock our competition out of the water, it’s our customer service! We have a 5 person staff working daily. This means that if you have a question, or need to get in touch with us, you can usually get an answer from us within a couple hours. We also have an office where you can reach us during normal business hours, or where you may set up a private consultation with one of our staff. We’ll be in touch with you every step of the way.
